New Mittelstand Digital Centre Magdeburg
On 1 August 2022, the new Mittelstand Digital Centre Magdeburg will open in the Experimental Factory. The funding of 5.5 million euros is provided by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. The new centre benefits from the experience gained from the Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Centre Magdeburg, which will expire on 31.07.2022. The new funding phase begins on 01.08.2022 and will initially last three years. Five partners are pooling their digitalisation expertise to support small and medium-sized enterprises and craft enterprises in Saxony-Anhalt in their digital transformation. One of the partners is the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg with the Data and Knowledge Engineering goup led by Prof. Andreas Nürnberger. The DKE workgroup contributes its knowledge and experience in the field of artificial intelligence to improve existing processes, projects, products and business models. It participates in the design and offer of free and practice-oriented formats that cover the basics of the topics of digitalisation and artificial intelligence, advanced training and the implementation of concrete solutions.
