The computer as music interprete?

On 20th of october 2009, music computer scientists of the computer science department of Otto von Guericke university Magdeburg show the application of computer software in research of historic performance practice. In presentation and following discussion, computer scientist Axel Berndt and music scientist Tilo Hähnel present novel techniques and methods in simulated expressive music performance. Furthermore, they will reflect on the advantage of those "performance systems" for research and their commercial value, limitations and perspectives.
