Business Start Up awarded for distinguished business plan

They received the award for an “outstanding” business plan for their literature management software Docear, a free software for researchers and students. Docear combines academic search engine, reference manager, PDF editor, and mind mapping, and hence supports researchers in searching, organizing and creating scientific literature.
Jöran Beel is a PhD student at the department of computer science, Stefan Langer and Marcel Genzmehr are Alumni of OvGU. All three currently are funded by an EXIST scholarship of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. They are supported and mentored by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Nürnberger of the computer science department and Jörg Bühnemann of the Impuls Netzwerk Sachsen-Anhalt. Further information: www.egobusiness.de
