Integrating AI and Medical Imaging: Foundations to Frontiers in Deep Learning
The intensive course Integrating AI and Medical Imaging: Foundations to Frontiers in Deep Learning aims to provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary foundation that equips students to tackle challenges at the intersection of medical imaging and machine learning. By the end of the course, students will have not only gained technical expertise in handling and processing medical imaging data but also developed the ability to design and apply advanced machine learning techniques in this critical field. The goal of the course is to impart a unique set of skills that prepare students for conducting research projects, completing master’s theses, or pursuing future careers in the interdisciplinary domain of machine learning and medical imaging.
The lecture takes place from the 03.03.2025 to the 07.03.2025 in the time from 9am to 6pm.

Artificial intelligence - how is it changing Saxony-Anhalt?
On July 15, 2024, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation hosted an information event on the topic of “Artificial intelligence: How is it changing Saxony-Anhalt” at the Experimental Factory in Magdeburg. Fabian Kowitzke (ZPVP GmbH & OVGU) and Juliane Höbel-Müller (OVGU) from the project consortium “Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg” contributed as speakers and gave the guests a practical insight into the topic of the event.
Artificial Intelligence Vernissage
To kick off an AI event series at the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Magdeburg, AI-based artworks as well as light and sound installations will be shown at an Artificial Intelligence Vernissage on 25.04.2024 from 2 to 6 pm in the Elbfabrik. By engaging with the art objects, the team aims to create impulses for the company's own application of AI. In the following weeks, numerous cost-free presentations, seminars and workshops will be offered to explain und demonstrate individual AI technologies and their application potential in more detail. Sergii Kolomiichuk (IFF), Fadi Georges (IFF) and Juliane Höbel-Müller (DKE group) are the speakers and seminar and workshop organizers.
